Our Purpose
We are here to worship God, and to make God's love concrete to one another and to those outside of our congregation. We are here to invite people into our life together.
What We Believe
We believe, that is, we trust in God who has been made known to us in Jesus. When Jesus was asked what commandment was the first of all, this is what Jesus answered, "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these." (the Gospel according to St. Mark 12:29-31). Living into these commands is not something that we can do on our own, it takes the presence and power of Jesus with us. Our time together in prayer, in praise, and in study is meant to give us what we need so we can love and trust God and love other people.
To learn more about what we believe, please browse our website, visit the ELCA's What We Believe page, contact us for more information or join us for worship on Sunday.
Who We Are
We are people loved by Jesus who want to extend that love to others. We live out our passion for the well-being of children and families through our P.O.P. ROCKS summer day camp, the Sunday School, and confirmation program.
We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The ELCA is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with approximately 4.5 million members in more than 10,000 congregations across the 50 states and in the Caribbean region. Known as the church of "God's Work. Our hands.", the ELCA emphasizes the saving grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, unity among Christians, and service in the world. The ELCA's roots are in the writings of the German church reformer, Martin Luther.
